At Loggerheads

At Loggerheads by B Comfort

At Loggerheads was published in 2001 and is the sixth and final book in the Tish McWhinney series.

The story begins with a cranky Tish not wanting to paint anymore portrait pictures. She wanted to do something different, but the bills have to be paid and her niece is in dire need of funds to keep her cashmere business going. The goats need to be feed and maintained and the price of wool is not where it should be. Not wanting to sell any of her dead husbands Vermont forest Tish must bite the bullet and do the painting of the simpering, fading belle. However, once she has decided to do the commission, she finds her customer dead! Now, who would do that? Tish, her crusty gentleman friend, Hilary Oats, and her goat herding niece, Sophie set out to find out, “Who did it?”
